The Solution

Opcon AB supplies bioenergy installations, including electricity generation, with a wide range of proprietary products and systems. Systems for flue gas condensation and flue gas treatment are also supplied to improve economic and environmental performance.

Where entire waste heat (in the form of flue gas) cannot be utilized, a flue gas condenser with partial flow is the perfect solution. It is a profitable investment, even though the full capacity of the flue gas condenser is not normally used.

Technical Specifications

Temp of incoming flue gas: aprox 120 - 220 C
Temp of outgoing flue gas (after condenser): aprox 50 C
Temp of water into the condenser (to be heated): up to aprox 55 C (depending on dew point) - the lower incoming temp, the better
Temp of outgoing water from condenser (heated by the condenser): up to aprox 65 C (depending on dew point)

Dust content in incoming flue gas: < 250 mg/nm3
Dust content in outgoing flue gas (after condenser): < 100 mg/nm3 (often about 80 mg/nm3)
Dust content in outgoing flue gas (after condenser + WESP): < 35 mg/nm3 (if lower is needed we add a larger WESP)
